Learning a whole new program, design rules, and just overall how to design can be hard enough on its own. Let alone traveling 5 hours away from home to work with new people to figure out just how to make the best book possible. The echo 2017 yearbook was Blanc Slate which meant we had a lot to learn about design wise. I took on the role of taking notes and working with advisors to figure out just how we would do as many doodles as we could dream of. This meant that I would later have to teach other designers how these doodles can be created.

what's in store next?
As much as I would love to stay in high school forever, my time has come to an end. That means my time on the echo staff has come to an end as well. There is nothing I am more proud of then the work and bonds I have created in room 305. However, my time is up here. Time for the next thing in my life. Which for me will be to study Graphic Design. The things I have learn in yearbook have inspired me to take them into the real world. I have found a passion in matching colors, finding fonts, and making something that people want to see. Yearbook has taught me more than design to take into the real world. It has taught me about the challenges that come from being a journalist. Not everyone is going to like your work, but that is why it is YOURS.
